We wanted to prove the impact of our airbag technology.
This is why we called on independent expertise to evaluate the technological performance of our detection algorithm
as well as the performance of our protection device.
Hip’Guard uses a high-performance algorithm to detect falls. The algorithm has been developed thanks to thousands of simulations in our labs as well as in everyday life conditions.
These results were validated by the University of Grenoble-Alpes, which tested a total of 828 falls and everyday life situations.
Results:
– Airbag inflations during a side fall: 9 out of 10 fall situations covered
– Unintended airbag inflations: 1%.
Tests have been carried out by the independent French laboratory CRITT SL to certify the effectiveness of the Hip’Guard airbag belt.
Results:
– Hip’Guard reduces the impact force by 90%
in case of a fall.
– Hip’Guard reduces 9-fold the chocs compared
to a standard hip protector.
Following hundreds of internal simulations and simulations with expertise centres, the certification of our algorithm and PPE proves Hip’Guard’s efficacy.
